The farming community in India faces innumerable challenges at every stage of the agriculture season. It has been observed that if a farmer can apply the right quality of farm inputs at the right time, that would substantially impact their yield at the end of the season positively. Agriculture in India is dominated by small and marginal farmers, who constitute about 85 percent of the total landholdings, with around 40 percent share in the total marketable surpluses.
